Q.How do I
determine the location of my vehicle?
A.You can use UBD CDROM, MapSend or online carminder.com.au
(currently free of charge). Carminder also produces UBD grid
reference data for Brisbane,Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Sydney,
Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth allowing you to use
your street directory to locate your vehicle.
Q.How many
things e.g. central locking, can I control from my mobile
phone?
A.Carminder has three general purpose outputs that can be
used to lock/unlock doors, sound horn, disable starter motor
etc.
Q.Can I use Carminder to immobilize my car?
A.Yes by disabling the start-motor only. We strictly do not
authorize Carminder to be connected in such away that would
disable the engine or any other component/system necessary
for the normal operation of the vehicle. Disabling
the starter motor is the next best alternative.
Q.Is it possible to use my office
PC to send and receive text messages with Carminder?
A.Yes. There are several ways that you can do this. The easiest
is by purchasing the data suite cable for your particular
mobile phone. You may also able to use the infared port of
your phone and PC. Most mobile phone manufacturers offer their
PC software free of charge. With the software you will be
able to communicate with Carminder just as you would send
and receive emails.
